When it comes to kitchens, clients are demanding more from their kitchens.  Practicality is essential as always & when it comes to layout, home owners still want to open up their living areas to create a ‘universal’ space.  As a result, kitchens need a harmonious look that can be continued through the house.  The trend for combining materials such as wood, painted, glass & stone finishes is strong, but we can expect more experimentation in 2009.  Colour has made a big comeback, lending itself to a mix & match style.  Painted kitchens combining wood as a  feature continues to be very popular, with an injection of colour a key trend.
